Everyday life in the light of the Gospels

Duration: 3 Days

The Seminar will include two half day tours to Magdala and Bethsaida and will concentrate on the mundane implications of the narratives of the Gospels. We will follow the narrative through critical examination of the relations between he synoptic and the Johannine traditions and its spatial manifestations, represented in Selected archaeological sites and Geographic landscapes. We will read the Gospels while viewing the sea of Galilee and its environs; We will walk through the streets of Nazareth – reading the anecdotes regarding Jesus upbringing and his familial relations and we will follow the footsteps of Jesus in Jerusalem from his arrival to mount Olivet to his ascension from this very spot.
